Youth sailing

In addition to the sailing activities of the Sea Cadets, Young People Afloat and the Suffolk Scouts, the Club will be running a series of Saturday morning Youth Sailing sessions in 2023. This is partly in response to the recent influx of new family members with children but also to encourage more Cadet members to join the Club.

The sessions will provide an opportunity for younger members to meet up; sail together; improve their skills and have fun.

The format of the sessions will very much depend on the level of interest; capabilities and the age range of the registered participants.  It is likely that the sessions will include:

• Some skills coaching

• On the water games

• Mini races

• Social sailing

The sessions will be a parent led activity, requiring a parent or guardian to come along and help supervise the sessions.  

The sessions will run from 10.00am - 1pm. Please see the Programme for dates.

The Club will also be holding a Junior Regatta in September and a number of Junior RYA level 1& 2 sailing courses.
