End of season

posted Nov 21, 2015, 7:06 AM by SESCA admin
Just a reminder that the final two races of the 2015 sailing season (apart from Boxing Day pursuit race) are being held tomorrow morning, starting at 10.30 am. There will be a day prize of the Beaujolais Bottle.

The forecast is looking much better than of late with light cloud and a 10 kt  NW breeze. It will, however, be fairly chilly. It would be great to get a good turn out to end the season.

Racing will be followed by the Laying Up Lunch, which is being served from 12.45 pm. After lunch, we will be turning over the Club boats and securing them for the winter. All hands to assist with these tasks would be welcome.

I am pleased to report that in light of our seriously disrupted sailing programme, this year, that Suffolk Wildlife and Natural England have agreed in principle to our taking steps to reduce the weed growth, next season. The Commodore will report more at the AGM on Thursday.
